Gladstone Rd bowled and fielded very well to restrict Seamer to 81 runs.  In reply, Seamer's bowling and fielding was also outstanding - Gladstone Rd finishing 20 runs short.  Well played Seamer - the best team won on the day!Cricket

Girls' Kwik Cricket County Final - York CC 16 July 2003

Gladstone Rd won the first ever Girls' Kwik Cricket County Final by beating Hunmanby in the final.
Scarborough were well represented with 8 teams making the trip: Gladstone Rd 'A' & 'B', Northstead, Hunmanby, Friarage, Overdale, Seamer, and East Ayton.
Semi-final scores:    Gladstone Rd 'A' beat St. Mary's        Hunmanby beat Friarage
Final:        Gladstone Rd  beat  Hunmanby
Highlights - with 3 balls to go in the semi-final, Gladstone Rd's captain Samia Galab, hit 2 sixes to clinch victory by a narrow margin against a strong St. Mary's team.

This year, all Scarborough teams have been invited to attend.
